Many activities are carried out by students of G.T.C. Kumba. One of the major activities is educational studies. The school year is divided into six sequences. Each sequence is six weeks during which the students are evaluated. The exam is based on the work covered during the sequence. Their educational studies is punctuated with sporting activities at divisional, provincial and national level. The various sporting activities include: Football (King sport), handball, volleyball, track and field etc. students are also engaged in traditional activities such as: traditional dance, singing by school choir etc.

A couple of clubs exist in the school for example: computer club, French club, drama club, health club and Environment club etc.
